Hannah & Tyler's Wedding Day - Pine Knob Mansion, Clarkston, Michigan

To set the scene for this wedding day.. I arrived at the venue before the couple and was greeted with a tour from the most lovely wedding day coordinator. She showed me all around the grounds (my first time at Pine Knob) and gave me a brief wedding-hosting history of the place. The venue is full of old wood and stone with a very medieval vibe, in such a great way. The floor-to-ceiling windows had views of rolling hills of autumn leaves. The patio walked out to a gazebo, creek, and golf course. The entire venue was a wedding wonderland and now sits close to the top of my "Favorite Michigan Wedding Venues" list.

The couple was just as lovely. They put so much care into their wedding day, with special touches integrated throughout then entire wedding weekend. Starting with a Halloween costume welcome party the night before! On the wedding day, the groom wore a plane pin on his lapel to honor his grandfather, the bride wore a sash sewn by her new sister in law the morning of, the newlyweds handed out donuts personally to each table after dinner, and they made sure they took a large group photo with all of their guests. The day was full of beautiful moments. How grateful I am I got to witness them all. I cannot imagine a better way to have spent my last weekend of October.
