Grand Haven State Park Wedding Proposal - Grand Haven, Michigan

Throughout the entire planning process for this proposal it was so evident how much love Carlos has for Ilse. Each detail he wanted to make sure wasn’t left unnoticed proved so. This proposal came after an international move to be together, from a relationship that dates way back when. Carlos' number one request was to make sure the proposal came right after the sun set, because watching the sun set is one of Ilse's favorite things to do. We crafted up a timeline and detailed map together (to make sure we got the famous lighthouse and pier in the background!) via email to make sure we were set and ready to go.

I had never met either of them, so every time a couple passed me walking the beach shoreline, I got a little panicked thinking it was them and getting my camera out and ready. I seriously had pictures of at least 10 other couples walking past me just in case.. LOL. But as soon as I saw them come into view, I knew these were my people. Love radiated.

How special it was for me to be able to photograph such an unforgettable evening. Grand Haven is the perfect place to watch a sun set.. and start such a wonderful next step in life. Here's to a lifetime of beautiful memories.
