This Grand Haven beach photography session took place along the Lake Michigan shoreline and was the perfect way to mark a big season of change for this family. With twin boys getting ready to graduate high school, their parents wanted photos that felt relaxed and true to where they are right now. One of the things I really love about Lake Michigan beach family photography is how easy it is to let the session unfold naturally. We walked the shoreline, talked about post-graduation plans, and enjoyed a sunset all the while.

A fun, completely unplanned detail: this family happens to be from my husband’s hometown (7hours away).. and none of us realized it until after they booked me. I think the father may have even been his gym coach if I remember correctly! They ran into my sister-in-law walking downtown, and the epiphany was had! Small world moments!
