Marissa & Will's Engagement Portraits - Grand haven City Beach

The way I got introduced to Marissa & Will for this session was so sweet. Marissa had reached out, mentioning a particular area of the beach she was hoping for photos on, which so happened to be the same beach area I was first introduced to Grand Haven by. This beach is right in front of my husband’s family’s cottage, which so happened to be right next to Marissa’s future husband’s family cottage! Turns out her soon-to-be husband and my husband have known each other since childhood, and the generation before that is the same!

I often utilize this beach area, just south of Noto’s, for the majority of my Grand Haven beach photo sessions because it hits all of the marks. There’s beach grass, sand dunes, and a little less people than the state park just north of the shoreline from us!  I absolutely loved the playfulness and carefree feeling this session had. Marissa and Will were game for any and every prompt that I threw their way. Run into the water? Spin each other around and around? No questions asked. It was the best evening spent with these soon-to-be-weds in a place near and dear to us all.
