Megan & Moses' Wedding Day Photography - Camp Lincoln Camp Lake Hubert - Nisswa, Minnesota

This summer camp-themed wedding at Camp Lincoln & Camp Lake Hubert felt like stepping into a time machine where I got to relive every core memory I have tied to this place. It’s the same camp where I met my own husband, got engaged to him, and later on married—so photographing another couple’s love story here had me in my feelings before the day even started. And to make it sweeter? They ALSO met there. If summer camp love had an official headquarters, it would be right on this lake. If Hallmark love story plots were a city, Camp Lincoln & Camp Lake Hubert would be the mayor!!

The whole day had that classic camp energy—tall pines, cabins and lodges that have that amazing wood smell, docks that have seen a thousand campers dive off, and black and white yearbook photos covering the walls of the dining halls. Alumni staff doubled as wedding guests filtered in from multiple countries, greeting each other like no time had passed at all. It genuinely felt like a camp reunion disguised as a wedding day, which is the dream scenario if you grew up coming to a place like this.

Cocktail hour? A petting zoo. With a baby kangaroo. There was ice cream from the local candy shop, Chocolate Ox, for dessert. Boat oars as the guestbook. And the grand entrance was done by a pontoon ride, crossing the lake toward a dock lined with all of the guests. It was the kind of day where every moment felt like both a celebration and a homecoming. The night ended doing the “camp beat” on the same wooden tables where many of the guests ate three meals a day during camp, and then jumping off the docks into the lake as a group.

Thank you, Megan & Moses, for giving me an excuse to come back to such a special place, and for taking me in as a friend during the best weekend of your life thus far. I am amazed by your hospitality. People traveling to celebrate you from all corners of the earth are a testament to the good karma you deserve from putting so much good into the world yourselves. Camp Lincoln & Camp Lake Hubert will always have your footprint left on its grounds.
